Aldo Leopold Nature Center Nature Camps and Overnights

Get ready for summer fun with the Aldo Leopold Nature Center’s Summer Camps! Through fun learning and adventure, ALNC camps, designed for children ages 2-12, are filled with diverse, hands-on, outdoor activities to engage your youngster’s imagination while they discover the joys of connecting with nature.
With more than 100 exciting and educational camps utilizing prairie, woods, wetland and pond, ALNC Summer Camps offer: • Highly trained and experienced naturalists • Toddler and Preschool programs for 2-4 year olds like Frogs & Pollywogs • Bi-lingual camps in Spanish • Sessions offered Monday through Thursday AND Monday through Friday • Single day sessions offered on Fridays • Full day camp sessions from 9 am – 4 pm (for just an extra $25 for the week, your camper can have an extended 8:30 am – 4:30 pm day) • Half-day camp sessions from 9 am - Noon or 1 pm – 4 pm • Lunchtime Storyhour, an hour that bridges the morning and afternoon camps with nature activities, available Monday through Friday • Special overnight camp sessions • Fun and diverse themes like Archeology Adventures, Pioneer Wagon Train, Weird Science and Mucking in the Marsh

Registration for ALNC members begins March 5 and March 19 for non-members.Variable but affordable. 10% discount for ALNC Members.Activities: Backpacking/camping, crafts, drama, gardening/farming, leadership training, mathematics, music, nature/environmental studies, outdoor skills, painting/drawing, reading/book study, rope course, wilderness tripping, woodworking, writing.
