Promote your Camp

"This day camp has been designed by Rogers Memorial Hospital especially for children ages 5-14 who experience the challenges of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and dual diagnoses such as depression and anxiety. In a supportive environment, children with ADHD will participate in activities that help improve self-esteem and social skills as well as teach temper control and coping techniques.

Adolescents 14 -17 years with ADHD have an opportunity to participate as Counselors in Training (CITs). While participating in camp activities, CITs will have guidance in assuming leadership roles with other campers. Under the supervision of a camp counselor, the CIT will learn and teach problem solving skills, conflict resolution, social skills and responsibility.

Leader in Training is for children ages 10-15 who have previously attended Challenge Camp. Call for more information on this program.

The camp location overlooks the Nashotah Lakes on 50 picturesque acres. Camp staff is specifically trained in ADHD, child development and Ropes & Challenge Course initiatives. A registered nurse and child and adolescent psychiatrist oversee the program. The camp director has over 10 years experience in behavioral training and is the behavior management coordinator at Rogers Memorial Hospital."
