Chippewa Valley Jazz Camp
Eau Claire, Eau Claire County
To provide an INEXPENSIVE summer jazz camp for middle school and high school students in the region around Eau Claire...the cost is only $140 for the week. We have had students sign up from Eau Claire, Altoona, Wisconsin Rapids, Chetek, and all around the Chippewa Valley and beyond. The cost is kept low to be affordable, but the instruction is by knowledgeable, motivated educators. Bruce Hering runs the camp, and he is a veteran jazz educator of 21 years. He and the students in his bands have garnered many awards and honors, including the Herb Kohl Fellowship, Downbeat award, Essentially Ellington national finalists and many best band trophies.
The camp is designed to be a fun experience of jazz for students--playing, learning, and playing some more! Check it out!
