Fennimore Health Careers Summer Camp
La Crosse, La Crosse County
Health Careers Camps are 5 day programs held around the state of Wisconsin. These camps allow the students to experience first hand the challenges, opportunities and rewards of health professions. The hands-on activities are facilitated by health profession students, instructors and health care professionals. Diversity awareness and leadership skill training are also a part of the camp experience. This unique camp is a collaboration of Wisconsin AHEC regional offices, local colleges, technical colleges, and area healthcare practitioners. These summer camps are open to any student in high school. Meals, lodging expenses and other program costs are provided by AHEC funding and sponsoring organizations. Chaperones will be on site at all times. A nonrefundable reservation fee is required upon acceptance to a camp. Financial assistance is available upon request.
Students from the following counties are eligible: Buffalo, Crawford, Grant, Jackson, Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Richland, Trempealeau and Vernon.

Campers will reside on ***** College CampusSessions for - coeds grades 10th to 12th. June 21 to June 24Applications are available on the WI AHEC website starting on March 1st. Application are done online as well as teacher references.
Application deadline date is April 29th, 2011| Activities: Campers will tour academic and health care facilities, speak with health care professionals and try-out health care skills. |
