Description
If you are searching for the very best horseback riding camp for your child in the Mid-West then you have found it. Great Northern Riding Club has been offering young children the most intensive and fun horse camp available for nearly 15 years. Horses are the subject at this camp and participating campers are able to learn how to groom, feed, ride and are able to participate in horse shows that are held at the facility. Focusing on rider/ horse relationships with intensive studies on safety and skills. English riding with Dressage basics are primarily taught with Western horses available. Overnight sessions held in June and open to girls. Day Camp sessions run daily and are open to both girls and boys. Beginner to advance, all level of riders are welcome.

Program -
Resident and day camp. Sessions for - boys only ages 5 to 18, girls only ages 5 to 18. 2 sessions residential camp in June. Day camp remaining Summer open to boys and girls.

Mid June 2 to Early September 6
Sessions -
Three overnight sessions 2012 June 16-23 June 23-30 June 30- July 7
Day Camp for rest of summer weekdays
Registration -
Complete registration form with deposit of $200.00 to reserve spot. Balance due at camp.
Fees -
Overnight session for 2010 are $1000 per week with some discounts available
Activities: Bicycling, crafts, exercise/aerobics/fitness, gardening/farming, horseback riding (English), horseback riding (Western), leadership training, music, nature/environmental studies, outdoor skills, painting/drawing, photography, swimming, weight training, writing. Also - Horse care and stable management class studies. Gardening, Canning, Recipe Building, Sewing with original design classes.
