Summer Art Camps at the Lynden Sculpture Garden
Milwaukee, Milwaukee County
This summer, the Lynden Sculpture Garden invites children ages 6 to 14 for a distinctive art experience. Lynden's two- and five-day camps integrate our collection of monumental outdoor sculpture with the natural ecology of 40 acres of park, ponds, and woodland, creating a unique hands-on experience of art in nature. Camps feature environmental programs, visiting artists, and the opportunity to explore a wide variety of art media in our art studio. Each camp concludes with an informal showing for family and friends.
Join us for a summer of art in nature!
Garden Animals - an exploration of the role of animals in art, plus create your own animal sculptures.
Earthworks - find natural materials throughout the garden to make sculptures connected to the environment.
Art Elements - learn about sustainability through environmentally-based art projects.
Puppets: From Rags to Revue - Teaching Artist-in-residence Sally Duback leads a puppetry workshop.
The Sculptor's Process - Explore the methods, materials, and ideas artists use to create sculpture, and participate in hands-on studio projects.
Artists' Exchange - Two-days of art making with one rule: that you leave with nothing you have made, but with many works of art!
