"Milwaukee Art Museum offers a variety of morning sessions for children ages 6-10 and afternoon sessions for children ages 11-15. At Drawing and Printmaking Art Camp young printmakers develop drawing skills and create prints using etching, relief, and monoprinting while learning about printmaking’s rich history. At Painting Art Camp students explore the diverse painting styles and subjects in the Art Museum’s Collection. Young artists in this camp learn a variety of techniques with watercolor, tempera and acrylic as they discover the stories behind some of their favorite paintings in the Museum. At Art in 3-D: Sculpture Camp students are inspired by the Art Museum’s vast collection of indoor and outdoor sculptures, and work with clay, wire and other mixed media to create their own sculptural masterpieces. At Sampler Art Camp I and II students will draw with pencil and oil pastels, paint with watercolor or acrylics, and then work with mixed media to create multi-dimensional compositions. Sessions I and II offer different projects. At Art of Nature Camp young artists will discover nature in paintings and sculpture throughout the galleries, as well as in the Museum’s Cudahy Gardens. Students will develop techniques with pencil, paint, ink and pastels as they create both realistic and imaginative art works inspired by nature."
