Camp Onaway

Waupaca, Waupaca County
 See Camp Location
Description
Camp Onaway is a 6.5 acre island located on the Chain O' Lakes near Waupaca, Wisconsin. Since 1908, the Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade has offered camps at Onaway Island as an extension of the Character Development and Leadership Training program at Brigade. Today, camps are available June-August for boys and girls who have completed grades 6-12 the previous school year. While most camps are structured the same, each one has its own unique personality. We encourage you to speak with camp managers to find out which camp would be best for your child. Camp Onaway currently hosts four girls camps, three boys camps, family camp, Onaway Adventure Camp (OAC), Leadership Training Conference (LTC), and Anchor Camp--a camp for youth who have just completed 5th grade. Several day camps are also available for youth who have just completed 4th or 5th grade. Days are packed full of fun activities including swimming, canoeing, waterskiing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, sailing, campfires, tournaments, crafts, volleyball, basketball, fishing, a low and high ropes challenge course, and much more. Camper to adult mentor ratio varies per camp, but is rarely lower than 4:1 (camper:adult).
