"Camp Pawprint is a series of week-long day camps held at Dane County Humane Society. Campers ages 7-14 enjoy animal related lessons and activities while having fun with other animal lovers! Each camp day also includes craft, presentations, activities, and an interactive humane education lesson. All campers spend time interacting with our camp animals, learning about animal care, and getting hands-on experience providing daily care and socialization. 2009 Camps Animal Detectives: Campers spend the week learning about important topics such as pet responsibility, animal communication, and animal empathy. Animal Kingdom: Ideal for the camper who loves all types of animals! Younger campers will learn about the differences between wild and pet animals, discuss animal habitats, learn how to help animals all over the world, and spend time with pet animals. Older campers will discuss animal adaptations and evolution, and learn about helping endangered animals. Animal Careers: Campers can take part in activities related to animal-related careers: observing a surgery by a veterinarian, playing zoologist trivia, creating animal inventions, and learning about animal welfare issues. Dog Lovers: Calling all dog lovers and experts! Campers will learn about dog history, breeds, behavior, and communication."
