"The Montessori School of Waukesha offers exceptional Montessori education for children ages 2 to 14. The school is situated on three acres of land with grassy play areas and its own woods which is a perfect setting for the students to learn through the exploration of the environment.
Each week offers a different theme that includes songs, games, food preparation, creative works and other activities that complement the topic. As during the traditional year, the works of the classroom are not limited to focus topics. Summer opens many opportunities like the use of the garden in the school's backyard. The general play area is also available for activities that facilitate free play, gross motor skills, and all around good fun, like running through the sprinkler in bathing suits.
With the exception of Pre-Children's House for 2-3 year olds, the summer program offers flexibility in that students may be enrolled for one, two, three, four or five days per week, on the basis of individual family need. You may also pick full or half days depending on your work schedules or family plans. All classes begin at 9 and end at noon though care is available from 7:00am to 5:45pm.
