Women Soar You Soar

Description
Do you ever wonder what it's like to pilot a jet aircraft, work on the international space station or pilot a private aircraft for a corporate executive? The Experimental Aircraft Association's (EAA) Women Soar You Soar is the ideal place for high school girls to find out. Now in its seventh year, this unique program introduces 100 girls to more than 20 women, from engineers to fighter pilots, working in a variety of aviation and aerospace fields.

This three-day event, July 28-31, 2011, is filled with career exploration, discovery, inspiration and fun.

Location -
UW Oshkosh campus and EAA grounds
Program -
Resident camp. Sessions for - girls only grades 9 to 12.
Season -
July 28 to July 31
Sessions -
Participants will experience a physical challenge course, the EAA flight simulator, experience creating wooden airplane parts and will attend the EAA AirVenture.
Registration -
Registration fee includes lodging in the residence hall at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2011 admission for Friday and Sunday, meals and educational seminars.
Scholarships are available.
Fees -
$75
