 Winter Solstice Night Hike
Friday, December 19, 2014. 8:30-10 pm. Gather around the fire as we share some traditions of the longest night of the year.  Agamemnon, Oedipus and Medea
Sunday, September 14, 2014 through Friday, September 19, 2014. Aeschylus' Agamemnon, Sophocles' Oedipus the King and Euripides' Medea, are the most famous of all extant Greek tragedies. Participants will study these three dramas intensely, paying special attention not only to character and plot but also to what these tragedies would have meant to their ancient Greek audiences. This seminar will also examine the fascinating but changing role of the chorus in the history of Greek drama as it is so clearly evidenced in these texts.  The Wild Mushrooms of Door County
Sunday, September 14, 2014 through Friday, September 19, 2014. This class will explore a variety of habitats in Door County's parks and preserves to see where and how the wild mushrooms grow. Field identification of family groups will be emphasized and classroom work will involve writing detailed descriptions of participants' findings, making spore prints and viewing spores in a high-magnification microscope.
