 Earthquakes in Wisconsin - The Dog That Didn't Bark Evening Nature Program
Thursday, October 13, 2016. 7 - 8:30 pm. Wisconsin has had roughly 18 recorded earthquakes in the last 120 years with none measuring greater than a magnitude of 4. Illinois and Missouri have experienced more and many with greater magnitudes. What makes Wisconsin so different? Join David Hart, PhD, hydrogeologist with the Dept. of Environmental Sciences at UW-Madison, as he examines several responses to that question. Friday, October 14, 2016. 6:30 - 9:30 pm. Come marvel at the magnificent mammals including the odiferous striped skunk, swift whitetail deer, crafty raccoon, and sneaky white-footed mouse. This is not a scary hike and is best for those over 5 years of age. Groups leave every six minutes. The last hour-long hike leaves at 8:30 pm. While waiting for your hike, enjoy playing fun-filled games, making a craft to take home, or snacking by the glow of a campfire. In the event of severe weather, the event will be canceled for that night. Free with 2016 Wisconsin State Park Vehicle Admission Sticker. In 2008, Mexican-Dominican violist Mireya Ramos founded Mariachi Flor de Toloache, the first all-female mariachi band in New York City.  Dia de los Muertos Ofrendas & Origins - Educational Workshop
