Eight musicians from this award-winning ensemble's collection of creative artists bring voices, hammered dulcimer, harpsichord, fiddle, wooden flutes, lute, guitar, banjo, and cello to recreate "An Appalachian Gathering" - music with roots in the British Isles that long ago mingled with Southern hymns and African spirituals in the hills of Virginia.  WPA Art from RAM's Collection

The museum's first director Sylvester Jerry obtained over 260 works produced through the Federal Art Project (FAP) of the Works Progress Administration (WPA), a program that provided jobs during the Great Depression of the 1930s. This show includes a selection of prints, watercolors, drawings, photographs, and textiles generated through the WPA that helped launch RAM's collection.  Variations on a Theme: Teapots from RAM's Collection
