 Wassail Luncheon Concert

Sunday, December 20, 2009. 12 pm. Wassail Luncheon Concerts combine lively choral music by the Rittenhouse Singers with three-course gourmet dinners staged in the Inn's festive dining rooms.  Nicola López: Urban Transformations

The complex works in "Nicola López: Urban Transformations" are unpredictable urban worlds built with the imagery of debris from our manufactured, technological world. Her mixed media works are often constructed as three-dimensional collages and installations from cut-out and repieced prints. Sunday, September 13, 2009 through Sunday, January 3, 2010. Robert Rauschenberg (1925-2008), who came to prominence in the 1950s, was one of the great American artists of our time. As a painter, sculptor, and printmaker, he drew his subject matter from the everyday world. In the style of collage, he juxtaposed and overlapped actual objects and fragments derived from photographs, newspaper clippings, and magazines­­ often bound together by the artist's gestural brush work­­ to create kaleidoscopic works of art.
