 Rock the Monkey featuring Stone Barone and the Mad Tones
Sunday, January 22, 2017. 4 pm. 18 & up, 4p-6p, $5 at door Stone Barone and the Mad Tones are a 10-member ensemble making headway in the Madison area. In addition to recurring sets at local venues such as Funk's Pub and Red Zone, they have received great responses from their performance at last year's Art Fair on the Square. By purposefully pairing the work of various contemporary artists-visually or conceptually-related works are shown side by side in order to simultaneously highlight similarities and differences. Rather than collapsing individual artist's interests into one another, this arrangement emphasizes the myriad ways in which ideas can be explored and artistic styles can be developed.  Cody Bartz Exhibit
Wednesday, December 14, 2016 through Saturday, February 11, 2017. 11:00 am - 7:00 pm. Cody combines a love for technology and a passion for art in this series of screen prints. He also has an interest for repurposing old materials and images, and finding new meaning for them. He finds it rewarding to give these images a fresh visual look as well as a new interpretation. This exhibit is in the Kader Gallery and runs from December 14- February 11. There will be a reception on December 16 from 5-7pm.  Jacquelline Olson Exhibit

Drawing inspiration from her childhood and growing up middle class, La Crosse based artist Jacquelline Olson presents a series of oil paintings that highlight the creativity and innovation often utilized when resources, such as money, are unavailable. When a veteran social worker, removes infant Luna Gale from the custody of her struggling parents, the best course of action seems clear. However Caroline quickly realizes that the situation is more complicated as she uncovers a shadowy and secretive family past. She is forced to make a risky decision with potentially dangerous consequences.
