This collection of paintings brings contemporary Mayan artists from Guatemala, Paula Nicho Cumez and Pedro Rafael Gonzalez Chavajay. A mesmerizing collection that evoke visual juxtapositions of surrealism and narrative of magical realism, all set on the stage of Guatemalan folklore and tradition.  WPA Art from RAM's Collection
Sunday, February 19, 2017 through Sunday, June 4, 2017. The museum's first director Sylvester Jerry obtained over 260 works produced through the Federal Art Project (FAP) of the Works Progress Administration (WPA), a program that provided jobs during the Great Depression of the 1930s. This show includes a selection of prints, watercolors, drawings, photographs, and textiles generated through the WPA that helped launch RAM's collection.  Variations on a Theme: Teapots from RAM's Collection
Tuesday, February 7, 2017 through Sunday, July 9, 2017. In 1999, collector Donna Moog offered RAM a gift of over 250 teapots. Since this gift, RAM has added over 100 teapots from other donors, establishing one of the largest public collections of contemporary artist-made teapots in the U.S. This show offers a stunning selection to explore.
