Sunday, March 8, 2020. 9 am to 4 pm. METRO Model Railroad Club's 25th annual railroad show and swap meet on Sunday, March 8th at Circle B Recreation 6261 Highway 60 in Cedarburg, WI 53012 will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Multiple Scales of operating trains. More than 50 tables of dealers will be on hand to buy, sell and trade model railroad equipment. METRO can also be found on the web. Wednesday, March 11, 2020. 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm. Come join Lion's Mouth Book Club to discuss the raved about the novel The Paragon Hotel by Lyndsay Faye. The year is 1921, and "Nobody" Alice James has just arrived in Oregon with a bullet wound. She befriends Max, a black Pullman porter who reminds her achingly of home and who saves Alice by leading her to the Paragon Hotel. But her unlikely sanctuary turns out to be an all-black hotel in a Jim Crow city, and its lodgers seem unduly terrified of a white woman on the premises. no fees.  An Evening with Nature Program: Two Sides of Fire
Thursday, March 12, 2020. 7:00 - 8:30 pm. Many plant communities need periodic fires to remain healthy, while wildfires can cause great devastation to ecosystems and human structures.  It's Like Poetry: Building A Toshiko Takaezu Archive at RAM
Friday, August 2, 2019 through Sunday, July 26, 2020. While unassuming in her disposition, artist Toshiko Takaezu (1922-2011) was a bona fide ceramic superstar who pushed the boundaries of clay in the late twentieth century. Inspired by nature and the environment, Takaezu created work that embodied a poetic balance between art and life. This exhibition in Racine Art Museum's Windows on Fifth Gallery features a selection from the more than 30 Takaezu works now in the museum's collection.
