Monday, May 8, 2017 through Friday, October 20, 2017. A program for children and adults who have been given a terminal medical diagnosis. The participants in "Horses for Hope" may visit the farm and meet the horses. If they are able, they can learn to ride a horse. There are no fees charged for the participants in this program. If an individual is unable to come to the farm, HPHC will bring the horses to visit hospitals, hospice centers and nursing homes. free.  Leinenkugel's Chippewa Valley Century Ride
Sunday, May 28, 2017. 7 am. Starting at Irvine Park, Chippewa Falls, WI. Century Ride (35, 50, 75, or 100 miles). Rest stops with food and water, sag wagons, and brat feed. The course, all on blacktop roads, leads through the beautiful farmland of Chippewa County along the Chippewa and Flambeau Rivers, Lakes Wissota and Holcombe, and through the kettle moraine topography of the Chippewa County Forest. The museum's first director Sylvester Jerry obtained over 260 works produced through the Federal Art Project (FAP) of the Works Progress Administration (WPA), a program that provided jobs during the Great Depression of the 1930s.
