Sunday, July 19, 2020. 12:00-3:00 pm. Let your creative juices flow! Using materials usually thrown away, fashion several fun toys including a T-shirt jump rope and CD spinner. Everyone is invited to drop in for a few minutes or more than an hour for artistic fun. Adults are encouraged to participate with their children.  Ticks and Lyme What You Need to Know Evening Exploration
Thursday, July 23, 2020. 7:00-8:30 pm. Ah, those tiny eight-legged critters ticks! They creep along and then burrow into our skin. Some call them nature's dirty needles. Sherry Sievewright, from the Wisconsin Lyme Network, will explain the best way to keep ticks at bay and the latest on the diseases they can transmit including Lyme disease. Les Rhines, President of the Wisconsin Purple Martin Association, will share their intriguing life history and ways to cultivate a colony in your neighborhood. Saturday, July 25, 2020. 10:00-11:00 am. Calling all youth to unravel the mysteries of nature by participating in the Wisconsin Explorers program! The program involves completing a required number of engaging nature activities in one of three age appropriate books (ages 3-5, ages 6-8, and ages 9+) to earn a very cool patch.  2020 Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour
Saturday, July 18, 2020 through Sunday, July 19, 2020. 7am-5pm. The Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour is a fully supported 2-day cycling event that is open to riders of all ages and abilities. One of Wisconsin's most popular bike rides, the Scenic Shore 150 is the largest locally organized and supported event for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and travels from Mequon to Sturgeon Bay, WI with an overnight in Manitowoc. Thursday, July 16, 2020 through Sunday, July 19, 2020. 5pm. Paperfest presented by Community First CU features country national act Eli Young Band! Free-admission festival boasts a great live music lineup, balloon glow, fireworks, carnival rides, sporting events, and more!  It's Like Poetry: Building A Toshiko Takaezu Archive at RAM
Friday, August 2, 2019 through Sunday, July 26, 2020. While unassuming in her disposition, artist Toshiko Takaezu (1922-2011) was a bona fide ceramic superstar who pushed the boundaries of clay in the late twentieth century. Inspired by nature and the environment, Takaezu created work that embodied a poetic balance between art and life. This exhibition in Racine Art Museum's Windows on Fifth Gallery features a selection from the more than 30 Takaezu works now in the museum's collection.  Third Annual Twin Triathlon
