Sunday, July 28, 2019. 10 am to 4 pm. Midwest Fire Fest is a demonstration heavy celebration of all things created with fire, heat, and smoke including but not limited to clay, metal arts, welding, forging, hot glass, food, and performance. Other attractions: on site firing and hot reveal of a clay sculpture, Community Iron Pour, Fire Dancers, Saturday Night's Fire Feast featuring Luke Zahm and Driftless Cafe, loads of food trucks, and smoking hot music all weekend.  Shakespeare in the Park
Monday, July 29, 2019. 7 pm. They're back! Join the Summit Players as they perform a mini-version of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. Their "play out of a trunk" will run a little over an hour. Join them as they make Shakespeare fun, accessible, and open to everyone in the great outdoors. A 45 minute workshop will be held at 5:30 before the performance. For kids and kids at heart.  Beautiful Butterflies Nature Storytime
Friday, August 2, 2019. 9:30 am-10:30 am. You are invited to join our play as we act out the fascinating life cycle of butterflies.  Step into the Night Hike
Friday, August 2, 2019. 8:00-9:30 pm. Long Lake Recreation Area Picnic Shelter (located off Division Road north of County Road F near Dundee) As the sun sets and the light fades from the sky, the day animals retire and a new group of animals awakens. Bring your bug spray and sense of adventure as we explore the darkness for night lights. This night hike is best for families/groups with children at least 5 years old.  Amazing Amphibians and Radical Reptiles Drop In at the Beach
Saturday, August 3, 2019. 1:00-4:00 pm. Mauthe Lake Recreation Area Beach (located off County Road GGG south of County Road SS near New Prospect) Many snakes, turtles, frogs, toads, and salamanders make Wisconsin their homes. Meet several of these marvelous creatures up close and learn about their unique adaptations. Everyone is invited to drop in for a few minutes or more than an hour.
