Friday, July 4, 2014. 10am to noon. Knot tying, fish ID and casting exercises. Play "Backyard Bass!" Drop a line in the mighty Mississippi to try your luck at catching a fish. Some fishing poles and worms will be provided. All ages are welcome to participate. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Fishing licenses are required for those older than 16 years of age. Thursday, July 10, 2014. 6 to 8 pm. Want to try fishing but don't know what to do? Join our Learn to Fish program and we'll show you how! We'll have fun activities that will teach you the basics of fishing, before sending you off to catch some fish. If you are 16 and older, you'll need a fishing license. Saturday, July 19, 2014. 9 to 11:30am. Greg Karch brings his clinic to Devil's Lake! If you're a beginner or been fishing for a while, this program is for you. This clinic will cover fish identification, knot tying, casting, setting the hook, bait, and much more! There will even be prizes give out during the event! Greg has received the Outstanding Service and Dedication award from the National Professional Anglers Association and is dedicated to continue involving future generations in the sport of fishing.
