Saturday, June 6, 2015. 9-12 pm. Do you marvel at fly fishing anglers? Learn from Trout Unlimited fly anglers the correct way to use fly fishing gear and tackle to catch a variety of fish. Bring your own gear, or a number of rods & reels will be available for participants' use. Class size is limited. To register, call (920) 533-8322 by May 27. It is Wisconsin's Free Fun Weekend so you do not need a fishing license or vehicle admission sticker. This program is best for people at least 12 years old. Meet at the Picnic Shelter. Free.  Learn to Fish Rodeo with Fish Biologists' Tools of the Trade Demonstration
Monday, June 8, 2015. 3-6 pm. Let the fishing fun begin! After completing the fishing skills rodeo, experienced anglers on the fishing pier will help hone your newly acquired skills. Bring your own gear or you can borrow ours. No fishing license or vehicle admission sticker required since it is Wisconsin's Free Fun Weekend. Fyke nets, shockers, and fish tags are a few of the tools fishery biologists use in their jobs. Come see first-hand how these tools are used to determine the health of a lake's fish population. Free. Come find the answers to these questions and much more as we wade through the world of Wisconsin fishes. Everyone is invited to drop in for a few minutes or more than an hour for some nature fun.
