 Sensory Friendly Saturday
Saturday, April 6, 2019. 9am to 11am. The History Center is offering special hours on April 6, 2019 for those with sensory sensitivities and cognitive needs that make touring during regular museum times and circumstances difficult. In order to keep to the needs of our families in our space, this event is limited to 15 families. Please pre-register to receive a $17 family rate available only for this event. The fee covers private tours of the Old Courthouse and Jail Museums for up to two adults and their dependent children. $17/Family (2 adults and children under 16yrs) or free with a family membership.  Free Head and Neck Cancer Screening
Friday, April 12, 2019. 10 am -1 pm. These head and neck cancer screenings are free and require no registration. Risk factors for include a history of significant alcohol and tobacco use, exposure to the HPV virus, long-term acid reflux, long-term sore throat and hoarseness. Some potential cancer signs are: Lump in the neck Pain the neck or throat Sore in the mouth or lip Pain in the ear Unusual bleeding, pain or numbness in the mouth or nose Pain or difficulty when swallowing free.  Cycle for Sight
Thursday, March 11, 2027. Cycle for Sight raises funds to support research conducted by UW Madison's McPherson Eye Research Institute to prevent, treat and cure blindness. Participants ride on stationary bikes to earn supporters' pledges. You can participate as an individual or team up with friends. All levels of bicyclists can join!  2019 Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour - Volunteers and Riders wanted!
Saturday, July 20, 2019 through Sunday, July 21, 2019. 6am-5pm. The Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour is a two-day, 150-mile, fully-supported cycling event that is open to riders of all ages and abilities. One of Wisconsin's most popular bike rides, the Scenic Shore 150 is the largest locally organized and supported event for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. With 1,300 riders raising nearly $2 million we continue to be one of the premier charity cycling events in the Midwest. We are looking for Volunteers and Riders to participate!
