 Free Screening for oral and neck cancers
Friday, April 7, 2017. 10 am - 1 pm. UW Health physicians is offering free screenings as part of Head and Neck Cancer Awareness week. Event: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday April 7 in the ENT clinic, which is located in the atrium of UW Hospital and Clinics, 600 Highland Ave. Park in the hospital ramp and your parking stub will be validated for free parking.  Meet Zoey, the K-9 Comfort Dog
Wednesday, April 12, 2017. 1:30 pm. Handler David Enters will appear with Zoey and give a power point presentation on comfort dogs. Zoey is owned by Concordia University and has had eight hours of daily training for a year. She works with children who have lost a loved one in the military service and has been deployed to Orlando, Sandy Hook School, and Boston after their tragedies. Refreshments follow the presentation.  Starkweather Creek Walk
Saturday, April 22, 2017. 8 am. The Dairyland Walkers are sponsoring a 5K/10K walk on the Starkweather Creek Path through woods, along the Bridges Golf Course, on pedestrian bridges, and through portions of the Madison Area Technical College grounds. Look for the signs indicating the parking lot for the start of the walk. Walkers may register and start walking anytime between 8 am and noon; please finish by 3 pm. $3 for walking credit or $2 for youths and noncredit adults.
