Discover architectural details, learn the meanings behind the symbolism, and trace the construction of the Old Courthouse and Sheriff's Residence and Jail, local and national landmarks. Climb to the balcony level of the Old Courthouse tower and see features rarely seen by the public.  Father Rehrl's Rectory & Exhibit Open
Wednesday, July 17, 2019. 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Built in 1856, it was here that the Sisters of St. Agnes managed one of the first schools in Washington County, educating children of all denominations. Within the fieldstone rectory of Father Caper Rehrl, the exhibit "From Mound Builders to Church Builders" highlights the triumph of survival over inexperience on the Wisconsin frontier.  Treasure Trove: Establishing Jewelry and Metal Archives at RAM
Friday, May 31, 2019 through Sunday, August 4, 2019. Unique to RAM's collection are concentrations of multiple works by individual artists. While some institutions choose to limit their acquisitions to a few examples per artist, RAM often includes a large cross-section of a career or body of work. This exhibition focuses on select archive artists who primarily create jewelry and metalwork, highlighting their presence with a sampling from RAM's holdings.  Botanical Art Worldwide: America's Flora

Curated by the American Society of Botanical Artists and the United Stated Botanic Garden, the exhibition is part of a worldwide project emphasizing the importance of conserving botanical diversity, increasing appreciation of the world's plants, and linking people with plants via botanical art.  Objects Redux: 50 Years After Objects: USA Defined American Craft

Revisiting an ambitious large-scale project from 50 years ago, Objects Redux combines work featured in the landmark craft exhibition, Objects: USA with works featured in a related sales catalog. Drawing on RAM's collection, as well as generous lenders from the Racine area, this exhibition investigates how the public was introduced to late twentieth-century craft as a field that was as interested in personal, material, and aesthetic concerns, as well as functional ones.  Objects Redux: Clay, Glass, and Metal, 1960-1985
Sunday, August 11, 2019 through Sunday, January 26, 2020. As part of a series that showcases changes in studio craft in the last part of the twentieth century, this exhibition features clay, glass, and metal works made between 1960 and 1985. In some instances, multiple works by the same artist are shown in order to reflect how their work changed during a span of time when there was a lot of fluctuation in the field.
