 Elroy Lions Apple Dumpling Day Races
Saturday, September 11, 2010. 8 am. Elroy is the center of three abandoned railroad beds that have all been converted to bike trails. These three trails are the Juneau County Omaha Trail, the Elroy-Sparta Trail, and the 400 Trail. The trails provide a great running surface, a nice amount of shade, and fantastic scenery for the runners. All runners will receive a race T-shirt, a free apple-dumpling, medals for the top finishers, as well as refreshments (fruit, water, sports drink, soda) at the end of the race. $35, $15, $9 before Aug 25. Tuesday, July 20, 2010. 6 pm. Take a Step 5K is a community event that benefits domestic and sexual abuse victim services provided through CAP Services' Family Crisis Center. Saturday, August 28, 2010. 6:00am. Eisenbahn is a German Word for railroad and the Eisenbahn Trail is built on a former railroad corridor. The Trail is 25-miles extending from the historic city of West Bend into the scenic countryside of eastern Wisconsin past the glacial landscape of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. The full marathon will begin in Eden and leave the trail periodically on to the rural, scenic roads of the Kettle Moraine area. A mostly flat route, the course is USATF Certified.
