 Trip to See the Brewers/Rockies Game
Thursday, May 2, 2019. 11 am. The Glendale Senior Citizens' Club will attend the baseball game between the Brewers and the Rockies. The bus leaves the school parking lot at 11 a.m. and returns after the game. The bus discharges passengers at the handicapped entrance of Miller Park. Wednesday, May 8, 2019. 1:30 pm. Local Actress Jessica Michna will portray Francis Folsom Cleveland, the woman who at the age of 21 married President Grover Cleveland in the White House in 1885. Cleveland was 48 years old at the time; they later had two sons. Refreshments follow the presentation in the basement clubroom. Free.  Trip to See "Ring of Fire"
Wednesday, May 15, 2019. 5:45 pm. The Club will attend the Stackner Cabaret to see "Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash." The musical features more than two dozen classic hits, performed by a multi-talented cast. The bus leaves the upper parking lot at 5:45 p.m. for dinner at the Stackner at 6:15 p.m., followed by the program at 7:30 p.m. Dinner is on your own. The cost includes bus, ticket, and tip.  Caring for Your Feet
Tuesday, May 21, 2019. 1 pm. Jeanne Linnemanstons,a RN certified in foot and nail care, will discuss how to care for your feet and nails, how your feet change with aging, and the difference between a pedicure and foot/nail care. Come with questions and get answers. The presentation will be in the basement of the school, in the clubroom of the Glendale Senior Citizens' Club. Free.  Tour of the Milwaukee Recycling Facility
Tuesday, June 4, 2019. 11:30 am. The club will tour the Milwaukee Recycling Facility located on Mount Vernon Ave. The tour will last an hour; there is some walking and stair climbing. Lunch on your own at Miss Katie's Diner, located at 1900 W. Clybourn, follows. The cost includes transit and gratuity. The bus should return to Glen Hills by 2:30 p.m. Call for reservations. $17.  Annual Seniors Picnic at Kletzsch Park
Wednesday, July 17, 2019. 11:30 am. The club's annual picnic is a catered event and will include broasted chicken, bratwurst, sauerkraut, cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans, watermelon, brownies, cookies, coffee, soda, water, and beer. The Club will attend the Memories Dinner Theater production of "The Marvelous Wonderettes," a comedy about high school cheerleaders who meet years later for a reunion. The cost includes lunch, ticket, bus, and gratuities. The menu is broasted chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, steamed vegetables, dinner salad, warm rolls, fluff, and Key Lime Torte.
