Wednesday, March 8, 2017. 11:30 am. Doors open for the anniversary luncheon of the Glendale Senior Citizens' Club at 11:30 am with lunch served at 12:15 pm. The cost of $23 includes four choices of entree (blackened chicken pasta, mac & cheese, meat loaf, or broiled walleye). All meals include salad, bread, beverage, and cake.  STOP Senior Frauds and Scams
Tuesday, March 21, 2017. 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Join us for an Interfaith Senior Programs presentation. Thanks to a grant from the Wisconsin Consumer Antifraud Fund at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Interfaith Senior Programs has been able to research and assemble educational resources to help seniors avoid common scams targeting their generation. Types of common scams covered in this presentation will include: Funeral, Medical/Medicare, Online/Email, Sweepstakes, & Telemarketing. Must register by Friday, March 17.  Free Screening for oral and neck cancers
Friday, April 7, 2017. 10 am - 1 pm. UW Health physicians is offering free screenings as part of Head and Neck Cancer Awareness week. Event: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday April 7 in the ENT clinic, which is located in the atrium of UW Hospital and Clinics, 600 Highland Ave. Park in the hospital ramp and your parking stub will be validated for free parking. Risk factors include a history of significant alcohol and tobacco use, exposure to the HPV virus, long-term acid reflux, long-term sore throat, and hoarseness. free.  Meet Zoey, the K-9 Comfort Dog
Wednesday, April 12, 2017. 1:30 pm. Handler David Enters will appear with Zoey and give a power point presentation on comfort dogs. Zoey is owned by Concordia University and has had eight hours of daily training for a year. She works with children who have lost a loved one in the military service and has been deployed to Orlando, Sandy Hook School, and Boston after their tragedies. Refreshments follow the presentation.  Garbo, The Musical - Performance and Lunch
Wednesday, April 26, 2017. 12 noon. The Glendale Senior Citizens' Club will travel to "Garbo, the Musical" in private cars (the parking lot is in the front). Lunch is at noon, with the show beginning at 1:15 p.m. The cost of $45 includes ticket, lunch, and gratuities. The menu is chicken, green salad, mashed potatoes, green beans, apple crisp, and coffee.
