 Seniors Winter Pot Luck
Wednesday, February 8, 2017. 11:30 am. The Glendale Senior Citizens' Club Winter Pot Luck lunch will be in the clubroom in the basement of the school. Bring an appetizer, cheese plate with crackers, fruit plate, relish platter, rolls and butter, salad, casserole, or dessert. Label your dish stating what it is and also place a name sticker on the container for a safe return. Bingo, with prizes, follows. Free.  Being Mortal Documentary Screening
Tuesday, February 21, 2017. 6 pm. Hospice Alliance is hosting a showing of the documentary "Being Mortal." This video follows renowned surgeon Atul Gawande as he explores how doctors care for patients towards the end of life. Teaming up with Frontline to share his journey - and his patients' stories - Gawande challenges others to reexamine their views regarding death and dying. A panel of assorted healthcare professionals will be present to answer questions and offer their expertise during a post screening Q&A session.  Nicolet High School Musical "Ragtime"
Wednesday, February 22, 2017. 12 noon. Join the Glendale Senior Citizens' Club in attending the free performance of "Ragtime" for seniors at Nicolet High School. Board a bus at noon in the Glen Hills lower parking lot. The bus will take you to the show and return to the school when the play is over. Park on the east side of the lot.  STOP Senior Frauds and Scams
Tuesday, March 21, 2017. 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Join us for an Interfaith Senior Programs presentation. Thanks to a grant from the Wisconsin Consumer Antifraud Fund at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Interfaith Senior Programs has been able to research and assemble educational resources to help seniors avoid common scams targeting their generation. Types of common scams covered in this presentation will include: Funeral, Medical/Medicare, Online/Email, Sweepstakes, & Telemarketing. Must register by Friday, March 17.
