Saturday, February 9, 2019. 10-11:30 am. By just looking at a track, we can figure out what animal passed through the area. Master some of the tricks of tracking animals in winter and figure out the stories of their snowy adventures. This program is best for families/groups with children between the ages of 6 and 12 years.  Solving the Mysteries of Hibernation Evening with Nature Program
Thursday, April 11, 2019. 7-8:30 pm. Presenter: Hannah V. Carey, Ph.D. , Professor of Comparative Biosciences and Director of Biotron Laboratory, UW-Madison Many animals just spent the winter hibernating to avoid the season's hardships. Join Dr. Carey as she explains the mysteries of hibernation and the new discoveries made by scientists. She will share how these findings may benefit humans. This program is most appropriate for people over the age of 10 years old. Warblers, crane, blue bunting, orioel, owls,king fisher, herons,raptors,diving and dabbling ducks and other shore birds. Wildlife and plants include jack-in-the-pulpit, foxes, rusty patched bumble bee, mushrooms, fresh water clams and much more. Free!.
