Cut sausages in half, brown and drain. Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Blend cornstarch, salt, maple syrup, sugar, water, vinegar and reserved pineapple juice. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Add sausage, pineapple, bell peppers, cherries and water chestnuts. Cook five minutes. Serve warm.
