 Get Outdoors! Go. . . Learn to Kayak
Saturday, July 18, 2020. 9:30 am-12:00 pm OR 1:00-3:30. This is the perfect program for people who have never kayaked and would like to learn. Learn the tricks and fun of flat water kayaking. We will kayak around Mauthe Lake and up the Milwaukee River. The program is for people at least 10 years old. In the event of threatening weather, the program will be rescheduled. Saturday, July 18, 2020. 10:00-11:00 am. Calling all youth to unravel the mysteries of nature by participating in the Wisconsin Explorers program! The program involves completing a required number of engaging nature activities in one of three age appropriate books (ages 3-5, ages 6-8, and ages 9+) to earn a very cool patch.  Under The Influence of Adrenaline Race Series
Saturday, July 18, 2020. 7:00 am. This race symbolizes our agency's commitment to healthy lifestyles and includes a 5K, 10K, 1/2 marathon and full marathon. All participants run on the Eisenbahn Trail -- a 25 mile course extending from historic West Bend into the scenic glacial countryside of Wisconsin. Friday, July 17, 2020 through Saturday, July 18, 2020. Friday, 9-5; Saturday, 9-1. A unique event as not only are used books available for very reasonable prices but many different perennials and house plants are also for sale. A great chance to acquire new plants for your yard or indoors at lower prices than any retail store. There are basket raffles and proceeds will be donated to help the library acquire new books.  2020 Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour
Saturday, July 18, 2020 through Sunday, July 19, 2020. 7am-5pm. The Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour is a fully supported 2-day cycling event that is open to riders of all ages and abilities. One of Wisconsin's most popular bike rides, the Scenic Shore 150 is the largest locally organized and supported event for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and travels from Mequon to Sturgeon Bay, WI with an overnight in Manitowoc.  It's Like Poetry: Building A Toshiko Takaezu Archive at RAM
Friday, August 2, 2019 through Sunday, July 26, 2020. While unassuming in her disposition, artist Toshiko Takaezu (1922-2011) was a bona fide ceramic superstar who pushed the boundaries of clay in the late twentieth century. Inspired by nature and the environment, Takaezu created work that embodied a poetic balance between art and life. This exhibition in Racine Art Museum's Windows on Fifth Gallery features a selection from the more than 30 Takaezu works now in the museum's collection.
