 Family Nature Hike-Howling at the Moon
Saturday, February 3, 2018. 6:30 pm. Spend time with a naturalist on a family-friendly hike. Take a hike with us to discover the forest in the dark. Look at the stars and listen to some star stories. We'll also howl at the moon and listen for coyotes howling back. If the snow is deep enough, we'll use Havenwoods' snowshoes. Drop in and learn about the constellations and their stories, make a constellation album, take an imaginary trip to different planets, make a moon calendar, and much more. Then start looking at the moon each night. Drop in anytime between 9 and 2 to discover something new about nature. Friday, February 16, 2018. 7:00 pm. Adults and youth over 12 are invited to join a naturalist on this winter walk. Animals have their own versions of Valentine's Day. They attract their prospective mates with dances, songs, bright colors, and smells.  32nd Annual Maywood Flapjak Day
Sunday, March 18, 2018. 9:30 am. Join us for some sweet activities and learn about Wisconsin's rich maple sugaring history. Enjoy an all-you-care-to-eat pancake breakfast. Tickets are $5 in advance or $6 at the door and include pancakes and a beverage. Sausages can be purchased at the event. Kids 4 and younger eat free. Participate in free activities including maple forest and sugar house tours, kids crafts, and more. Proceeds of this event support the construction of a new outdoor education shelter.
